Career Academy School’s Annual Sports Day: A Spectacular Celebration of Athletic Prowess
Outstanding athletes and vibrant performances steal the show.
Like every year, Career Academy School organized its Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm on the occasion of Children’s Day, November 14. This grand event took place in the town’s playground,Chamba Ground,beginning at 9:00 a.m. The games were officially inaugurated by Sh Bhupender Singh , officiating Dysso, who served as the Chief Guest, the school Principal, as well as other distinguished guests.
The Sports Day witnessed an array of exciting competitions across various categories, including races from grades 6 to 12, alongside team events and athletic challenges. The students displayed commendable energy and sportsmanship throughout the day. The program opened with a march-past led by the students, showcasing discipline and unity, setting a high tone for the events that followed.
The students competed in activities such as spoon races, sack races, and three-legged races. Notably, in the 50-meter race for boys, Pratham secured the first position, followed by Shubham in second and Arav in third. In the girls’ category, Kriti won first place, with Aditi and Harshita finishing in second and third places, respectively. The 100-meter races, sack races, and spoon races featured intense competition among students, with remarkable performances by many.
For the senior students in grades 9 and 10, events such as the 200-meter race showcased the athletic abilities of participants. The boys’ 200-meter race was won by Karan, with Ishaan and Nishant in second and third places, while in the girls’ category, Priya took first place, followed by Sneha and Anjali in the second and third spots, respectively. Similar enthusiasm was seen in the high jump, long jump, and relay races, where the students exhibited agility, strength, and teamwork.
Competitions for grades 11 and 12, including shot put, relay races, and long-distance events, added to the excitement, as students competed to win points for their respective houses. The overall house points determined the winning house in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions.
The spectacular closing ceremony was graced by the presence of Shri Ajay Solanki, MLA Nahan constituency, marking the grand conclusion of the event.In honor of his presence at the event, Sh. Ajay Solanki, was presented with the traditional Himachali Topi and Shawl by Career Academy Chairman Mr. S.S. Rathi and director Sh.Mr. Manoj Rathi. As a token of appreciation and respect, they also gifted him a memento, symbolizing their heartfelt admiration and gratitude.
Sh. Ajay Solanki applauded the students for their performances, encouraging them to uphold their passion for sports. He emphasized the importance of physical fitness and teamwork, which sports foster in students. Principal Sh. Rajesh Solanki extended his heartfelt thanks to Sh Ajay Solanki for dedicating his valuable time to the school and motivating the young athletes.
With this inspiring conclusion, the Annual Sports Day event came to an end, leaving a sense of accomplishment and pride among the students.
Krish and Apoorva were announced to be the best athletes of the day. The Overall Trophy was awarded to the Athletic House for their outstanding performance.
